The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare

This book is about a girl named Kit and she has a rich grandfather but he dies so she must sell all the land,animals,slaves and the mansion. after all that is done she goes to live with her aunt and uncle.
I can't tell you the whole thing so. After a while she gets used to it.she finds this older woman.
Her name is Hannah Tupper.but everyone calls her THE WITCH OF BLACK BIRD POND. But she is really just a kind woman.They also call her a Quaker. Later every child in town gets sick and a lot of people blame Hannah! So kit helps her get away, and she lives happily.

The trouble with May Amelia By Jennifer l.Holm

This book is about a girl named May Amelia.

Her life just gets harder and harder. But in the end her life changes and her whole family is happy!

I like this book because she has faith and she just keeps on going. 

Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson

This book is about a boy at the age of ten. His name is Jess Aarons. And one day someone moved in next door. They had a girl named Leslie Burke. Together they used there imagination and they "ruled a land"it they called it Terabithia but that didn't last long.One day the creek was high and Leslie fell in while Jess was away.  He missed her very much.He was heart was broken. 

I like this book because they are full of imagination. 

There is also a movie. 

A Story by Maddie

Once in the land of Rosehail three little girls were born. Each from different families.

One was born to a couple as their first child they named her Madeline. 

The second baby was named Madelyn, she was the second family's fourth child and the last family named her Madison she was third child they became  best friends but one day that all changed, Madison's family died in a car accident but she survived it. She was put in an orphanage. 

One day a greedy woman adopted her.  The woman's name was Ganna. She was greedy,rude and she100% selfish. She already had a girl working her name was Martha,she thought that Misstress Ganna was 300%selfish! One day Madison and Martha made a plan to run away. That night they got away and when they got home,they saw Madeline and Madelyn. They lived at Madeline's house and lived happily.

It was very interesting because her Mom had cancer and her life really changed.  

The Boxcar Children #1by Gertrude Chandler Warner

I love this book because their life is simple.

The Princess in Black by Shannon and Dean Hale

Too short, but good.

Princess Academy by Shannon Hale

Love this one.  It's full of adventure.  It's like watching a movie.

Love these books. 

Nest by Esther Ehrlich

This book starts out with a girl named Naomi, but a lot of people call her Chirp.  She is the main character.  One day her mom was going to teach dance lessons. She forgot something and tripped she fell and broke her leg. After that her mom had health problems. So she was in the hospital for almost three months. Chirp didn't see her until thanksgiving. When she saw her mom, her mom was not the same. But one day Chirp was walking home from school and when she got home her mom was there. 

       The story is toooooo long so

One day chirp went to school and her mom died. So she ran away but she went home and was happy.

Homeschooling gives you a way to be with your children while they do school. It also gives you a way to know what they are learning and how they are doing with school work. Plus you can have school done before lunch. But the most important thing is GOD.

Catherine , Called Birdy

This book is about a  young maiden named Catherine and her father is determined to marry her off to a rich man - any rich man,no matter how awful. Then Lord shaggy berd comes along and wants to marry Catherine. But Catherine won't let him get away with that! So to make a story short. 

 Catherine gets rid of him and Catherine marries a man she wants to marry. 

        This book is kind of a journal like this.

The Hundred Dresses

This book is about a girl named Wanda who wore the same faded blue dress to school and she said "she said she had a hundred dresses in her closet all lined up". The girls that teased her didn't believe her.Then one day there was a drawing contest and two of the girls that teased Wanda thought they were going to win the contest but when they came in dress pictures were all over the room.The teacher said the winer was Wanda.Then they heard that she had moved away Maddie and Penny were sorry about teasing Wanda. 

My favorite part was the picture of all the dresses she drew. 

They were very pretty.
